At Saint Andrew Catholic School, your child will be educated in the Catholic faith and recognize the importance of living a spiritual life. Students pray and receive daily religious education, attend weekly Mass, monthly Adoration, and participte in other religious activities throughout the school year to prepare them to be lifelong Catholics as well as contributing members of their parish communities. The message of Jesus Christ creates a school climate where spiritual growth is at the forefront of our mission to educate your child. The Catechisis of the Good Shepherd Program is offered for Preschool and Kindergarten students. The Virtues in Practice Program introduces student to a new vitue every month. Faith Family groups of mixed age levels meet monthly, encouraging students to help one another in promoting virtuous living.
Academics
Saint Andrew Catholic School has a long history of strong academics. We provide a quality education with an engaging learning environment and a nurturing atmosphere for students in Preschool 3 - 8th grade. Our graduates perform at high achievement levels in high school. Our talented and committed faculty sets high expectation for students as we teach a rigorous curriculum and promote instructional methodology that elicit critical thinking skills. Math, English, Literature, History, and Science are taught daily. Latin is taught in Kindergarten - 6th grade and offered as an elective for 7th and 8th grades. Spanish is taugh in Preschool and Kindergarten, and offered as an elective for 7th and 8th grades. Fine Arts electives include Band, Performing Arts, and Music/Choir. Students enjoy weekly PE, Music, Choir, Art, Technology, and THINK Enrichment classes.
Service
The Catholic faith stresses the importance of service to others. At Saint Andrew, we look for opportunities for our students to take advantage of their God-given abilities. Service hours are required for 6th - 8th grade students and we encourage all students to dedicate their time and talents to the school, parish, and community. Learning to help others prepares them to be the servant leaders of tomorrow.
